Commonly asked
- LandlordsWhat does Tenarize cost?£15/month for 1–5 properties, £35 for 6–10 and £75 for 11–20, plus £1 per property beyond 20 — or 20% less if you pay annually.
- LandlordsHow does rent collection work?Rent is collected by Bacs Direct Debit into your own Stripe account — you connect a payout account once, your tenant authorises a mandate once.
- LandlordsWhat's on the compliance checklist?Ten items covering gas safety, EICR, EPC, alarms, the Renters' Rights Act information sheet, Legionella, insurance, deposit paperwork and the agreement.
- LandlordsCan I still serve a Section 21 no-fault eviction notice? No. Section 21 was abolished entirely by the Renters' Rights Act from 1 May 2026, for new and existing tenancies alike, and Tenarize does not offer it.
- TenantsHow do I pay rent through Tenarize?Set up a Direct Debit once from your tenancy page, then either press 'Pay rent now' each month or switch on auto-pay and let it go out by itself.
- TenantsWhy does my bank statement say 'Stripe' instead of my landlord's name?Because Stripe is the payment provider collecting the Direct Debit — that's normal and it is your rent payment, not a mistake or a duplicate charge.
- TenantsHow do I know my deposit is protected?Your tenancy page shows the scheme and reference once your landlord registers it — which they must do within 30 days of receiving it.
- LandlordsI already have tenants. Can I bring existing tenancies into Tenarize?Yes — 'Import existing tenancy' skips the parts that only make sense for a new let, so you aren't re-vetting a tenant who moved in years ago.
Not legal advice
These answers describe how Tenarize works and summarise the law in England as the product implements it. They are not legal advice about your situation, and the law changes. For free independent help, Citizens Advice and Shelter both cover renting in England; for anything unusual or contested, take advice from a solicitor.
Tenarize does not currently support Scotland, Wales or Northern Ireland, whose tenancy regimes are different.
