Can Tenarize send rent and costs straight to my accounts?

Connect FreeAgent from Your profile, choose which of your own categories each kind of money should post to, and match each property to the one in FreeAgent. After that it runs nightly on its own.

What gets sent, always attributed to the right property:

• Rent you've collected, as an invoice.
• Late-payment interest, separately — it's taxable but it isn't rent, and your accountant will want to see the difference.
• Maintenance costs, as a bill, with the supplier's invoice attached where you've uploaded one.
• Any deposit you keep at the end of a tenancy, if you choose a category for it. The deposit itself is never sent — it's your tenant's money in a protection scheme, not your income. Only the part you keep is.

If a payment is later refunded or reversed by the bank, Tenarize sends a credit note rather than quietly changing the original invoice — so the correction is visible in your books instead of the history disappearing.

You'll need a FreeAgent unincorporated landlord account. FreeAgent fixes the account type when it's created and it can't be changed afterwards, so a sole trader or limited company account can't hold property income. If you're self-employed as well as a landlord you'll have both kinds — connect the landlord one.

Worth knowing: Tenarize never marks anything as paid in FreeAgent. Your bank feed already shows the money arriving, and saying so from both ends would count every payment twice. Invoices arrive as receivables for you to reconcile, exactly as they would from any other source.
