How does Tenarize handle Section 8 grounds and notice periods?
It lists the sixteen grounds relevant to a private landlord with their statutory notice periods, and suggests the earliest valid expiry date.
When you record a notice, you select the Section 8 grounds you're relying on from a list of sixteen relevant to an ordinary private residential landlord. Each carries its statutory minimum notice period.
Tenarize calculates the earliest valid notice expiry date from the grounds you've selected and pre-fills it, editable if you need a longer period. A Notice card records a served notice independently of actually ending the tenancy, and drives a reminder if the tenant hasn't left by the expiry date.
Worth knowing: Choosing the right ground and serving notice correctly is a legal decision with real consequences if you get it wrong. Tenarize records what you've done and reminds you about dates; it does not advise you on which ground applies.
