What does the landlord dashboard show me?
Rent due against rent collected, occupancy and arrears, plus a property's rent netted against a mortgage payment you record yourself — over 1 to 24 months.
Signing in takes you to /dashboard rather than the map, once you have at least one property. It draws four things over the same window — 12 months by default, anywhere from 1 to 24 if you want to look further back or narrower: rent due against rent collected, rent against a mortgage payment you've recorded, occupancy across everything you let, and who's behind on rent right now.
- Rent due vs collected — a meter for each month: what was due is the track, what came in fills it, and the gap is the shortfall.
- Rent vs mortgage — a chart with the net drawn over it, so whether a month ran ahead or behind reads straight off where the line sits.
- Occupancy — counted by bedroom on a room-by-room let, not by front door, so a five-bed house with one room taken doesn't read as fully let.
- Who's behind on rent — the same Arrears card from the Payments page, surfaced here too.
The mortgage half needs one thing from you first: a monthly payment, a start date and (optionally) a lender name, recorded once on the property's own page. From those two numbers Tenarize works out what you've paid towards it in total — the monthly figure multiplied by the months elapsed — and nets it against that property's rent.
Worth knowing: There's no lender integration and no open banking, and nobody is ever contacted on your behalf — you're typing in a figure, the same as you would into a spreadsheet. The total is always an estimate: it knows nothing about a rate change, an overpayment or a remortgage. If you haven't filled it in for a property, the dashboard shows nothing for that property rather than assuming zero, and says how many of your properties have a figure recorded.
Worth knowing: The net line is rent in minus mortgage out, and nothing else — it isn't a profit figure, a yield or a return. It doesn't know what you pay for landlord insurance, an agent, ground rent, a service charge, a void period or tax.
Rent collected means collected through Tenarize. If you take rent by standing order, or by any route that doesn't go through the platform, the dashboard shows zero for it — nothing here imports a bank statement. A payment that's later reversed or refunded drops back out of the total on its own.
