Does Tenarize store my bank details, or my tenant's?
No. Your tenant's are typed on Stripe's own page and never reach Tenarize; your payout details pass through one request and are never saved.
- Your tenant's bank details never reach Tenarize. The Direct Debit mandate is set up on Stripe's own hosted page. Tenarize only ever sees Stripe identifiers — a customer reference, a payment method reference, a mandate reference.
- Your payout account details pass through, but are not retained. They're collected on the Tenarize onboarding form and forwarded straight to Stripe. Nothing is written to the database, nothing is logged, and nothing is kept in the browser. There are no bank columns on your account record.
Whether the details on file at Stripe are still current is checked against Stripe's own masked values — the last four digits and formatted sort code — not against a local copy.

Not legal advice
These answers describe how Tenarize works and summarise the law in England as the product implements it. They are not legal advice about your situation, and the law changes. For free independent help, Citizens Advice and Shelter both cover renting in England; for anything unusual or contested, take advice from a solicitor.
Tenarize does not currently support Scotland, Wales or Northern Ireland, whose tenancy regimes are different.
