What can my tenant actually see about their tenancy?
Their tenancy details, documents, meter readings, rent history and inventory report — never your vetting records, notes, repair costs or landlord-only files.
Tenants see a deliberately narrow slice, and the restriction is enforced on the server, not by hiding things in the interface.
- They can see — their tenancy's status and terms, documents relevant to them (safety certificates, the agreement, the inventory report), meter readings, their rent payment history, and any maintenance requests on their tenancy.
- They cannot see — the vetting checklist and everything on it, any document marked landlord-only, your private notes, your supplier database, what a repair cost you, or any invoice you've attached to a maintenance request.
Worth knowing: Repair costs and invoices are stripped out of tenant responses on the server before they're ever sent, rather than simply not rendered. A tenant can't retrieve them by any route.
