Can I change what's in the tenancy agreement?
You can toggle the optional clauses on or off and add a free-text addendum — the mandatory clauses and the disclaimer always stay.
Before sending, you choose which optional clauses to include and can add a free-text addendum for anything the template doesn't cover. Mandatory clauses — and the disclaimer — are always present.
Some clauses appear conditionally rather than by choice. A late payment of rent clause is always rendered, worded to match whatever interest rate you've configured (or to say plainly that no interest applies). A shared-building clause covering common parts and superior-lease obligations appears only for property types that genuinely sit inside a larger building.
The clause selections and addendum text are stored against the signature request itself, so the record of what was sent survives even after the template is later updated.
