What does the rent payment look like on my tenant's bank statement?
It shows Stripe's name rather than yours, because Stripe collects the Direct Debit. Your name and the property appear in the payment reference and rent emails.
On a Direct Debit, the name your tenant's bank shows is the name of whoever collects the payment. Rent is collected through Stripe, so the statement line reads as Stripe — not you, and not Tenarize.
It isn't a setting you can change, and it's the same for every landlord collecting rent through Tenarize.
Your name and the property are carried where they're more use anyway: in the payment reference, and in the rent emails Tenarize sends. Stripe also emails your tenant to confirm the Direct Debit when it's set up, and again ahead of each payment.
Worth knowing: Worth telling your tenant up front — an unexplained 'Stripe' line is the most common reason a first Direct Debit gets queried.
