What does the inventory report actually look like?

These are real output rather than mock-ups. Each one comes off the same template that generates your own reports, filled in with invented details for a made-up two-bedroom flat, and stamped EXAMPLE on every page.

• Move-in inventory — five rooms, eight photographs, and the signature block both you and your tenant sign.
• Check-out inventory — the same flat a year later, with every room set side by side against how it was recorded at move-in.
• Inspection report — a routine mid-tenancy inspection. This one is yours alone: it is never sent to the tenant for signature.

Each report opens on a cover page carrying the full address, both parties, the date, how many rooms and photographs it contains and a reference you can quote. After that comes one numbered section per room, with its condition notes and its photographs, each photograph numbered so it can be referred to later — "photo 2.3" means the third photograph of room two.

Every page is numbered and carries the report type, the property and the date along the bottom, so a single page separated from the rest of a bundle still says what it belongs to.

Worth knowing: The watermark is the only difference between these and the real thing. Your own reports are not watermarked, and nothing else about them changes — so what you can see here is what your tenant receives.
