How do I clear a notification?
By fixing what caused it — a notification disappears when the underlying issue is resolved, not when you read it.
Notifications aren't a to-do list you tick off. Protect the deposit, upload the replacement certificate, sign the inventory, assign a supplier to the maintenance request — and the notification goes on its own.
Opening the bell marks items as read, which changes how they're styled and clears the unread count. It doesn't remove them, and it doesn't take them out of the weekly digest.
