What happens if my subscription payment fails or I cancel?
A 7-day grace period with warning emails, then the app locks for you and your tenants — but billing stays reachable and your data stays downloadable.
A card decline doesn't cut you off immediately. Once your subscription leaves trialing or active, a 7-day grace period starts and everything keeps working. You're emailed at the point the grace period begins, naming the date access pauses, and again the day before.
After seven days the app locks. That applies to your tenants too — they're emailed separately, since they lose access to their own documents over a billing relationship they aren't party to.
- The billing page stays reachable throughout, so you can always resubscribe.
- Download my data stays available to both you and your tenants while locked — a full export of everything, including the actual document files.
- Nothing is deleted. Resubscribing restores access to it all.

Not legal advice
These answers describe how Tenarize works and summarise the law in England as the product implements it. They are not legal advice about your situation, and the law changes. For free independent help, Citizens Advice and Shelter both cover renting in England; for anything unusual or contested, take advice from a solicitor.
Tenarize does not currently support Scotland, Wales or Northern Ireland, whose tenancy regimes are different.
