Where are my documents stored, and how do I get them out?

In encrypted cloud object storage, organised by property and tenancy, and downloadable individually or as a zip whenever you want.

Files are held in Cloudflare R2 object storage, organised under your landlord account by property, tenancy and category. They're served through authenticated links rather than public URLs — a document link is not guessable and doesn't work for anyone who isn't entitled to it.

You can download any file individually, download all documents for a property or tenancy as a zip, or take a complete account-wide export — see exporting your data.

Document lists lead with the document's type and expiry ('Gas Safety Certificate · Expires 08/06/2027') rather than the filename, so an oddly-named upload can't obscure what it actually is.

Not legal advice

These answers describe how Tenarize works and summarise the law in England as the product implements it. They are not legal advice about your situation, and the law changes. For free independent help, Citizens Advice and Shelter both cover renting in England; for anything unusual or contested, take advice from a solicitor.

Tenarize does not currently support Scotland, Wales or Northern Ireland, whose tenancy regimes are different.
